• Dedicated permanent space at hospital to commemorate Ellie's legacy. Named a nursing station (communication center) and double patient room in the new NICU (neonatal intensive care) that opened October 2016.  The NICU is part of the new state-of-the-art, 212,000 sq ft Advanced Pediatric Care Pavilion.   Her name prominently is displayed on the wall to honor Ellie and her legacy.  Click here to learn more.

  • Due to the high number of children we were able to help by purchasing the Criticool equipment in 2014 for the ambulance and flight rescue helicopter, we purchased additional Criticool equipment in 2015 to be used in the NICU unit.  This equipment is truly life saving - it cools the brain when a baby experiences a cardiac arrest or traumatic brain injury, preventing potential brain damage and other complications. This can change the outcome for an individual that might have had brain damage to none at all or potentially save the life of someone who would otherwise die.  Click here to learn more about Criticool.

  • Pacifier Activated Lullaby (PAL®) devices were purchased in 2015.  The device helps address one of the greatest difficulties many babies experience - learning the proper muscle movements to be able to suck and feed.  The PAL system utilizes music reinforcement therapy to stimulate non-nutritive sucking and the breath-suck-swallow reflex. Click to learn more.

  • Weekly Pizza Party at Michael Fux Family Center - We sponsor a Saturday pizza lunch combined with the center's Saturday movie showing.  This provides families with a much needed break from the intensity of the medical units, as well as a hot meal.  This program kicked off on Ellie's 1st birthday, May, 15th, 2010 and due to its overwhelming success is set to continue indefinitely.

  • Purchased 2 new Washer/Dryer Combos for the Michael Fux Family Center to help families wash personal laundry for long term stay patients

  • Purchased transilluminators to assist nurses and doctors to do IVs and draw blood on first try rather than having to attempt multiple times for patients with difficult veins

  • Mobiles for the Cribs

  • Swings & Bouncer Seats for the babies

  • 12+ Large Reclining Chair Beds
